Gripping, helpful, and moving
Lindsay Marks tells the riveting story of a young woman caught up in an emotional maelstrom involving her parents and her past. She chooses to tell the tale Rashomon-style, from the point of view of each of her protagonists, and the effect is compelling, humorous, sometimes disturbing and ultimately enlightening. The book is very well-written and completely engrossing — I finished it in one day. And I sobbed like a baby at the ending.

An important book about understanding yourself
This book is a treasure as it provides an inside look into our own feelings and judgments. I think it’s a shortcut through therapy and by speaking with many voices, the points hit home. The author writes from the point of view of various characters and the results and quite insightful. It’s also a quick read.
